Recruitment - Two Positions                

Position I: Project & Communication Officer x 1 (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop network and communicate with working partners
  2. Compile and update case information
  3. Examine and process legal aid and humanitarian aid applications
  4. Assist in the organising and implementation of capacity building programme activities, and preparation of activity reports

Requirements:

  1. University graduate, preferably major in Social Sciences or Law
  2. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese word processing, knowledge of social media skills
  4. Knowledge in Chinese legal system and human rights situation preferred
  5. Two year working experience, NGO preferred. Applicants with less working experience but with relevant voluntary work experience could be considered
  6. Commitment in human rights, good team player with attention to details, willing to work with flexible time schedule
  7. Immediate availability is preferred

Position II: Campaign Officer x 1 (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and carry out campaign activities
  2. Write articles for regular columns; assist in drafting Chinese and English statements and press release
  3. Compile and update information on human rights lawyers and respective issues of concern for advocacy and campaigns
  4. Update information on the organisation’s website and other online social media
  5. Prepare work reports and financial reports

Requirements:

  1. University graduate, preferably major in Social Sciences or Law
  2. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English with good writing skills
  3. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing, skills in infographics an asset
  4. Knowledge and skills in online applications (Website, Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Weibo) and multimedia software
  5. Experiences in organising NGO activities
  6. Independent and communicative, willing to work under pressure and with flexible time schedule.
  7. Knowledge of politics and human rights situation in China an advantage.
  8. Immediate availability is preferred
